You can link a Conversion audience to an ads audience so that contacts are automatically synced to your ad platform. This keeps your ad targeting up to date without any manual exports or uploads.

Linking an ads audience

To link an ads audience, navigate to the Ads audiences tab within any audience and click Link ads audience. In the modal, select an existing ads audience from your connected ad account and click Link. Contacts from your Conversion audience will automatically be synced to the selected ads audience.
You can link multiple ads audiences per Conversion audience.
To link an ads audience, you must first connect an ads platform under Ads Settings.

How syncing works

Once linked, Conversion keeps the ads audience in sync with your Conversion audience:

DynamicContacts are automatically added or removed from the linked ads audience as they enter or exit based on your filter criteria.
StaticContacts are synced whenever you manually add or remove them from the audience.

Data sent to ad platforms

When contacts are synced, the following data is sent to each platform. All data pulls from your default variables.
The following fields are all required to sync a contact to Google:
  • Email
  • Phone
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Zip
  • Country (converted to ISO-standardized two-letter country code)

Unlinking an ads audience

To unlink an ads audience, navigate to the Ads audiences tab and remove the linked audience. Contacts will no longer be synced to that ads audience going forward.
