A published landing page is served from the URLs you add to it. A URL is a domain you own, like go.acme.com, plus an optional path, like /webinar. A page can have several URLs.

Prerequisites

  • The Manager role in Conversion.
  • Access to your domain’s DNS settings, or someone who can add DNS records for you.

Adding a URL

  1. Open the page and go to Settings → URLs.
  2. Click Add URL.
  3. Enter the domain, for example go.acme.com. Domains already used by your other pages are suggested.
  4. Enter a path, for example sale, or leave it empty to serve the page at the domain’s root.
  5. Click Add.
Each URL must be unique. Paths are a single segment of lowercase letters, numbers, and ., _, ~, or -, and can’t start with _. A new URL starts unverified. Unverified URLs don’t serve the page.

Verifying a URL

  1. Next to the URL, click Verify.
  2. Add the two DNS records shown in the dialog at your DNS provider. Click each item to see and copy its Type, Name, and Value.
  1. Click Verify. When both checks pass, the URL is verified and the page is served from it.
DNS changes can take a few minutes to appear. If verification fails, wait a few minutes and try again.
For a root domain, such as acme.com, use your DNS provider’s CNAME flattening or ALIAS record. Conversion also accepts A or AAAA records that point to the same place.
Once verified, a URL stays verified. Conversion issues the HTTPS certificate for you.

Viewing a page at a URL

Click View next to a verified URL to open the live page there. Every URL serves the page’s latest published version and uses the page’s access settings.

Deleting a URL

  1. Open the … menu next to the URL and choose Delete.
  2. Review the visits from the past 30 days.
  3. Type the URL to confirm and click Confirm and delete.
The page stops being served from that URL immediately, and existing links to it break.
