Campaign types define the set of member statuses available to any campaign of that type. Every campaign in Conversion must belong to a type.
Creating a campaign type
To create a new type, click +New type in the top right and fill in:
| Field | Description |
|---|
| Name | A descriptive name for the type (e.g. Webinars, Product Launches). |
| Description | An optional description of what the type is used for. |
| Member statuses | The ordered list of statuses that members can progress through. |
Member statuses
Statuses represent the stages a member moves through within a campaign. For example, Invited → Registered → Attended.
Ordering
Statuses are ordered sequentially. In automated contexts like workflows, members can only move forward through the list. However, an individual member’s status can be manually changed to a prior status if needed. Define your statuses in the correct progression order when creating the type.
Success statuses
At least one status must be marked as a success status. A success status indicates that the member has meaningfully engaged with the campaign (e.g. Attended, Converted).
Success statuses refer to the member’s engagement with the campaign, not the success of the campaign itself.
Deleting a status
When you delete a status that already has members assigned to it, you will be prompted to choose another status to move those members to.
Managing a type
To edit or review an existing type, click Manage next to it in the types list. From here you can update the name, description, and member statuses.
