The Slack integration connects a Slack workspace to Conversion, enabling workflow nodes to post messages directly to Slack channels.

Connecting Slack

Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click Connect next to Slack. Complete the authentication flow to authorize Conversion to post to your Slack workspace. Once connected, Slack appears with a green Connected badge. You can disconnect at any time using the options menu.

Private channels

The Conversion Slack bot can only send messages to private channels if it has been explicitly invited. To invite it:
  1. In the private channel, type /invite @Conversion
  2. Select Add apps to this channel
  3. Choose Conversion from the list
Without this step, workflow messages targeting a private channel will fail to deliver.

Using Slack in workflows

After connecting, you can use the Slack Messages workflow node to send messages to channels as contacts progress through a workflow.
